BURRILLVILLE- Ralph J. Cook, 89, died February 19, 2013 at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Jeffrey) Cook whom he married May 17, 1947.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Ralph A. and Hattie M. (Ide) Cook.
He graduated from Burrillville High School in 1942 and Hill College in 1944. He was a Charter Member and Secretary of the Bridgeton Fire Company. He was on the committee to build The White Mill Community Park. He worked for the Burrillville School Department, and was a member of the Advent Christian Church of North Scituate.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Barbara Scalise and her husband Bill of Pomfret, CT, a son David Cook and his wife Arlene of Wilkes Barre, PA, a son James Cook of Pascoag, a daughter Cheryl McCall and her husband Donald of Pascoag, a daughter Sandra Gravel and her husband Paul of Pascoag, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Earl W. Cook.
A funeral service will be held on Friday Feb. 22, 2013 at 10AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave, Pascoag. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery, Main St. Pascoag. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 PM. At the request of the family, PLEASE NO FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Pascoag Fire & Rescue, 141 Howard Ave., Pascoag, RI 02859.
