MANVILLE - Jeanne J. Berard, 85, of Manville, formerly of Flat St. Cumberland, died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Henrio E. Berard.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Hector and Laure (Poulin) Forand. She was a resident of Manville for most of her life.
Mrs. Berard was employed at HealthTex for several years.
Jeanne was a longtime communicant of St. James Parish. She was a member of the Union of Prayer, the Golden Agers and the Riverside Tenants Association.
Jeanne will be remembered as being a loving wife and mother and cherished her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by a son Robert E. Berard, and his wife Paula, of Woonsocket, and three grandchildren Jacob, Mallory and Andrew Berard. She was the sister of the late Armand Forand.
Her funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Parish, 33 Division St. Manville, RI. 02838.
