John P. Drew

BELLINGHAM, MA. - John P. Drew, 74, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 39 years of Gail M. (Russell) Drew.
Born in Worcester, MA on March 9, 1938, he was the son of the late James and Ann (McAuley) Drew. He was the loving father of Jomo Drew and his wife, Amy of Bridgewater, MA, Gary Drew and Nicole of St. Petersburg, FL, Alexander Drew and his wife, Robin of Bellingham, MA, Cynthia Cataloni of MA, Elizabeth Kiernan and her husband, Shawn of Hyde Park, MA, Marissa Weeks and her husband, Kevin of Battlefield, MO; and his grandchildren in MA and MO. He was the brother of Robert Drew and his wife Sharon of Lake Dallas, TX and the late Gordon, William and Leslie Drew. He also leaves his in-laws Donald and Reta Russell of Stoughton, MA.
A resident of Bellingham since 1979 formerly of Boston, he was a graduate of Boston University receiving a Masters Degree in English Literature. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1955 - 1959.
John served on the Bellingham Zoning Board of Appeals from 1980 - 1987. He was an avid stamp collector and was a member of the American Philatelic Society, the Perfin Club, and the New England Pre-cancel and Stamp Club. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
