WOONSOCKET- Richard L. Cote, 60, of Diamond Hill Road passed away Thursday at home surrounded by his loving friends and family. He was the husband of Celine (Lacombe) Cote, and they had been married for 40 years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Treffle and Imelda (Charrette) Cote. He was a life-long resident of Woonsocket.
Mr. Cote was the owner of Rick's Service and Towing Inc. of Woonsocket for over 33 years retiring due to illness.
He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church. Richard loved to fix cars, go camping, do puzzles, play cards, travel, but most of all loved the time spent with his family, especially enjoying the time with his grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife, he leaves two sons Chris Cote of Tennessee and Jeremy Cote of Woonsocket; four sisters, Cecile Ryan, Lucille Handfield, Irene Nault and Suzanne Moniz; five grandchildren Jacob, Meghan, Scotty, Zachary, and Chloe, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jeanne Gamache.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian
Burial at 10 AM in the St. Ambrose Church, School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Beacon Hospice for all their hard work, for their caring staff, especially the CNA's and nurses who took such great care of Richard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02915.
