NORTHBRIDGE, MA- Eileen M. Robidoux 88, resident of Northbridge MA, formerly of Blackstone MA, where she lived most of her life, passed away peacefully February 17, 2013 at the Beaumont Skilled & Nursing Center, after her declining health.
She was the wife of the late Ernest Robidoux, and the late John D. Sawtelle.
She was born in Worcester MA, a daughter of the late Christopher & Mary (Cotter) Kane.
Eileen worked for the former C.D. Burnes Co. for ten years; previously she worked for the Tupperware Co. She was a Navy veteran of WWII. She was a former treasurer for the Senior Club in Blackstone, and a member of the St. Theresa's Senior Citizens Club. She was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Blackstone.
She is survived by sons, John Sawtelle of Woonsocket and Christopher Sawtelle of Foxboro MA, daughters, Mary Kay Kowalczyk of Blackstone MA, and Margaret Nogueira of Mendon MA, grandchildren, Stephen, and Alan Kowalczyk, Bethany Vilandry, Tonya, John, and Tayla Sawtelle. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Christopher, Edward, Harold, Lawrence, George, James, and Jeremiah Kane, sisters, Veronica Kane, Margaret Stewart, Mary Whalen, Katherine Meagher, and Ann Bickford.
A committal service along with military honors in which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Thursday at 1130am in St. Paul's Cemetery in Blackstone MA. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home 75 Harris Ave, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to a charity of ones choice.
