GLOCESTER- Cook, Charles O., Jr., 89, passed away at home, Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn E. (Beebe) Cook for 59 years.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Charles O. and Hazel D. (Vose) Cook.
Mr. Cook worked in pipeline maintenance for 36 years for the Algonquin Gas Co. before retiring in 1989 and was a WWII Navy Veteran. Mr. Cook lived in Burrillville for 10 years before moving to Glocester 51 years ago. Mr. Cook enjoyed working his farm, tending to his animals and camping with his grandchildren and family.
Besides his wife, he was the father of Barbara A. Andriole of North Providence, Brenda J. McIntire of Cumberland, the late Charles O. "Buddy" Cook, III and father in-law of the late Anthony Andriole, Jr. He was the grandfather of Sarah Fonseca and Stephen Centracchio; great grandfather of Austin and Brayden Fonseca. He was the brother of Frank E. Cook and the late Emily King, Edith Paquette, Hazel Faella and Arlene Ross.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 1pm in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation TUESDAY 12-1pm prior to his service. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Diabetes Association, 146 Clifford St., Prov., RI 02903 will be appreciated.
