Margaret A. Guy

Margaret "Peggy" A. (Bedard) Guy, 72, of Shady Lane, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Raymond Guy whom she married November 11, 1963.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Margaret M. (McCaughey) Bedard.
Mrs. Guy worked as a key punch operator in her early years; she was also a former Almac's employee. For the past 15 years, she was employed by Mount St. Francis nursing home as their hairstylist. Peggy and her husband were involved in Polka Dancing. She also enjoyed homemaking, gardening, and sewing. She was very social and loved entertaining people.
Besides her husband, Raymond, she is survived by three children; Tracie LaChapelle and Tammie Pessia, both of No. Smithfield and Brian Guy of No. Providence, a sister; Barbara Bosworth of Boca Raton, FL and four granddaughters; Lindsay and Jenna LaChapelle and Paige and Kara Pessia. She was the sister of the late Theodore, William, Fred Bedard and Ruth Curry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Monday from 4 - 8PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
