DANIELSON CT- Robert "Slim" M. Clausen 73, resident of Danielson CT, passed away March 7, 2013 at the Backus Hospital in Norwich CT.
He was born December 12, 1939 in Providence RI, a son of the late Robert & Margaret "Irene" (O'Donnell) Clausen.
Robert worked for the Turex Inc. for 35 years as a machinist; formally he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Material Services and DGM Systems. He was a resident of CT; previously he was a longtime resident of North Smithfield. He enjoyed cars and car racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori Mihailides of Foster, son, Michael Clausen of North Smithfield, longtime companion, Blanche Goujon, brother William B. Clausen, stepchildren, Megan, Billy, Michael, and Brenda Taylor, grandchildren David, Theo and Isabella, step grandchildren, Mykeala, Makenzie, and Mason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick J. Clausen.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home 445 Greenville Rd. North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone MA. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5pm until 8pm.
