LEXINGTON, MO- Doris A. Childress, 73, Lexington, Mo., passed away March 10, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, at Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO 64016. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Buckner Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Village Hospice, 1016 Main St., Lexington, MO 64067 or the American Lung Association, 6701 W. 64th St., Ste. 110, Cloverleaf Office Park Bldg. No. 6, Overland Park, KS 66202.
Doris was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Biddeford, Maine, to Lucien and Yvonne (Nadeau) Roberge and grew up there. She lived in Bellingham, MA for many years before moving to MO in 1972 she resided in Lexington. She was a dietary cook at different locations and was at the Lexington Care Center, now know as Benchmark Care Center, for seven years. She was a Catholic and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Lexington. She was a member of the Lioness Club.
Doris is survived by daughter Debbie Reese and husband Steve, Xenia, Ohio; son Steven Childress, Branson, Mo.; daughter Sharon Engelman and husband Jamee; son Gary Childress; daughter Heather Kaullen, all of Independence, Mo.; sisters Lucienne Landry and husband Romeo, Bellingham, Mass.; Racheal Labbe and husband Pete; Laurie Legros; brothers Paul Roberge and wife Helen; Eddie Roberge, all of Biddeford, Maine; grandchildren Tiffany Ratliff and husband Jeff, Jamestown, Ohio; Jessica Sharky and husband Dr. Chad Sharky, Independence, Mo.; Nikki Poole, Xenia, Ohio; Michael Engelman and fiancee Tristen Hammontree, Independence, Mo.; Spencer Engelman, Independence, Mo.; and great-grandchildren Bryce, Braden, Madeline, Makenna, Chase and Samuel.
