NORTH SMITHFIELD - Jeanne d'Arc (Bergeron) Trudeau, 88, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Armand Trudeau. Born in Cumberland, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Exelia (Mercier) Bergeron.
She was the loving mother of Constance Trudeau of North Smithfield, RI, Susan Pandolfi and her husband, Harry of Kannapolis, NC, Joseph Trudeau, Jr. of Troupsburg, NY and Mary Ann Sahagian of North Smithfield, RI; and leaves her cherished six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Irene Laliberte of Blackstone, MA and the late Theresa Dufresne and Beatrice Beaudet.
Mrs. Trudeau had worked at Avenue C Jewelry Shop in Woonsocket as a linker, the Bancroft Sporting Goods as a file clerk and CVS Corporate Office in accounts payable. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Slatersville, RI. She was a volunteer at St. Antoine Residence for many years and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year in 2000, and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 8:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville, RI. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visiting time from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the funeral home prior to Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church Maintenance Fund, 63 Church St., P.O. Box 266, Slatersville, RI 02876-0266, would be appreciated.
