Margaret T. Kopeski

GLOCESTER- Margaret T. (Magner) Kopeski, 89, of Chepachet, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Kopeski, Sr.
She was born in Harrisville, a daughter of the late John J. and Eugenie (Gaucher) Magner.
She lived in Pascoag for many years before moving to Chepachet in 2002 and was a communicant of St. Eugene Church, Chepachet. Mrs. Kopeski was a school math teacher at Wareham, MA High School from 1944-1946, also, the Captain Isaac Paine School, Foster, Glocester Grammer School (5th grade) and was the math department head at Burrillville High School before retiring. After retirement, she taught at the Warwick and Lincoln campuses of the Community College of R.I.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 4 children, Patricia A. McCarthy and her husband George of Flower Mound, TX, Michael J. Kopeski, Jr. of Rutherglen, VA, Stephen W. Kopeski and his wife Paula of Pascoag and Donna E. Pelletier and her late husband Paul of Chepachet, formerly of Merrimack, NH. She was the sister of Mary E. Cappe and her late husband Godfrey of Plainville, CT and the late John J. Magner, Jr and his wife Corona of Georgetown, MA. She was the loving grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 5; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 9:30am in St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Pascoag. Visitation, Tuesday from 5-8pm in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Margaret T. Kopeski B.H.S. Teaching Scholarship Memorial Fund, c/o D.E. Pelletier, PO Box 736, Chepachet, RI 02814 will be appreciated.
