CUMBERLAND- Edward T. Kross, 94, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 28, 2013. He was the husband of Dorothy (Longtin) Kross. They were happily for 67 years.
Born in Putnam, CT, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Kross. Mr. Kross was an army veteran of World War II.
He was a parts manager for several Ford dealerships, including Jack Madden of Norwood Ford, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing, and traveling. For many years, he wintered in Florida with his wife.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Judith Hetland, his grandson, Kevin Chaisty, his great granddaughter, Giovanna Chaisty, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 8:30am from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Monday 8:30-9:30am prior to the mass in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904, would be appreciated.
