NORTH SMITHFIELD- Jeannette A. Martineau, 79, of Eddie Dowling Hwy., North Smithfield died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Maurice D. Martineau.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Herminegilde and Ella (Savaria) Beausoleil. She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life and resided in North Smithfield for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Martineau was employed at Oakland Grove Health Care Center in the laundry dept. and had formerly worked at Jed Delta, Tupperware and ACS Industries.
Jeannette enjoyed planning bingo and trips to casinos.
She is survived by a son Paul R. Martineau and a daughter Paulette Bois both of North Smithfield. She was the sister of Henry Carriere, Alice Groleau, Irene Robin, Doris Charbonneau, and the late Anita Riendeau, Raymond and Leo Beausoliel, Simone Dufault, Theresa Bianco and Cecile Lafleche. She was the grandmother of Patrick, Mark and Kimberlyn Martineau, Lisa McCollum (and her husband Christopher McCollum) and Christopher Bois and great-grandmother of Miley Rose and Malaki. She was the mother-in-law of the late Patricia Martineau and Joseph Bois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 am in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
