David W. Harmon

WOONSOCKET- David W. Harmon, 82, of Cumberland St. died Friday, March 29, 2012, in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Katie (Abney) Harmon.
Born in Newbury South Carolina, son of the late Thomas and Vennie (Ray) Harmon.
Mr. Harmon worked as a machine operator, for Whitins Machine. for several years.
He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and a served in the Men's Choir.
He is survived by six sons, William and his wife Ethel Harmon of Alabama, Donald W. and his wife Veronica Harmon of Woonsocket, and Donald L."Butchy" Harmon of Central Falls, Tommy C. and his wife Rachelle Harmon of Albion. R.I., David S. Harmon Jr. and Dwayne L. Harmon, and Phillip Cole all of Woonsocket.
One daughter, Gwendlyn Barr, of Georgia and 23 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. One sister Mildred Counts, of Providence, R.I. and also his companion of 27 years Patricia L. Cole of Woonsocket.
He was predeceased by Bennie and Johnnie Harmon, Trannie Epps, Lelia Harris, Minnie Saddler and Vennie Harmon, Odessa Wertz, Edna Mae DeWalt, Margaret Williams, and Susan Scurry.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11 A.M. in St. James Baptist Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 4-8 P.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket R.I. 02895
