MILLVILLE- Denise (Jarret) Lafayette, 80, of Millville, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Lafayette, whom she married January 23, 1954.
Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marie Rose (Remy) Jarret.
Denise worked for US Rubber, Finklesteins and CVS headquarters. Denise was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church.
She is survived by her children, Ann Lesperance and her husband Michael of Millville, Dave P. Lafayette and his wife Irene and Roger Lafayette and his wife Ann, all of Blackstone and Michael Lafayette and his wife Laura of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Aldo Jarret of Canada, Roger Jarret of Cumberland and Michael Jarret of Cumberland; three sisters, Huguette Giguere of Blackstone, Doris Allard of Glendale and Paulette Roberts of Texas; eight grandchildren, Paul Lafayette, Lynn Chalas, Teagan, Kate, Kristen and Jon Michael Lafayette and Kristi and Matthew Lesperance; three great grandchildren, Brianna and Dominic Chalas and Joseph Lafayette; many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by five brothers, Phil, Dennis, Marcel, Guy and Andre Jarret and her sister, Suzanne Jarret.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, Lincoln Street, Millville. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun Street, Woonsocket, RI. Calling hours are Monday, April 8, 2013 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackstone- Millville Food Pantry, c/o Ann Lesperance, PO Box 738, Millville, MA 01529.
