NORTH SMITHFIELD- Charles R. DiCristoforo, 59, of Pound Hill Rd., died April 6, 2013 in the Hallworth House, Providence. He was the husband of Cynthia R. (Batura) DiCristoforo whom he married June 1, 1980.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Marguerite (Ventry) DiCristoforo.
Mr. DiCristoforo owned and operated Charlie's Motor Sales, a used car dealership in Blackstone, for thirty-four years and had also worked with his mother as a Realtor for DiCristoforo Realty. Charles enjoyed his Corvette, car shows, working on cars, was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Sayles Hill Rod and Gun Club. He loved his two dogs, Rocky and Lucky and his cat, Merlin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter; Kimberly DiCristoforo of Cranston, his sister; Marie DiCristoforo of Woonsocket, his aunts; Ann Taber, Rosemary Sylvestre, and Carol Durkin, brother-in-law; John Batura, his niece and nephew; Holly and John Batura, and many cousins.
His funeral will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1210 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
