WOONSOCKET- George Karam, 82, of Harris Ave., died Saturday April 6, 2013 in the Oakland Grove Health Center. He was the husband of the late Ann (Mathieu) Karam.
Born in Utica, New York, son of the late Michael and Nazero (Habak).
Mr. Karam worked as a machinist for Dennison Little in Framingham, for several years prior to retiring.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving proudly on the USS Bronson during the Korean Conflict.
He was a former member of the Enrico Caruso Club.
He is survived by his sister Helen Landucci and her husband Fred, of Bakersfield, California, a brother-in-law, Leo Allard, of Woonsocket, and sister -in - law Dolly (Mathieu) Lees of Swansea, Ma. Three nieces, Marie Kennedy and Louise Allard, both of Woonsocket, and Donna (Lees) DeSimas, of East Providence, R.I. Two nephews Scott Lees of Swansea, MA. and Steven Landucci of Bakersfield, California. Any many friends.
He also was the brother of the late John Louis, and Joseph Karam.
His funeral and burial will be private, The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. is in Charge of the arrangements.
