BELLINGHAM- Norma T. (Murray) DiPietro, 74, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Antoine Residence. She was the beloved wife of retired Bellingham School Superintendent Joseph F. DiPietro since 1969.
Born in Providence, RI on March 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Hardress and Teresa (Furey) Murray.
She was the loving mother of Norma T. DiPietro and her husband, Richard Wang of McAlester, OK and Maria G. Taymore and her husband, Justin of Lynn, MA; and leaves her cherished grandson Vincent Wang of McAlester, OK. She was the sister of the late Edward Murray and the late Joan McDonald. She also leaves her sister-in-law Joan Murray of Warwick, RI, nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
Norma attended Salve Regina College, was a graduate of St. Xavier's Academy, Rhode Island College and St. Joseph's Hospital. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling, photography and dining out.
She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne's of Assumption and St. Blaise Church, an accomplished pianist and organist she played for the former Assumption Church and St. Blaise Church both of Bellingham. She enjoyed playing for Mass and funerals for Bishop Gelineau at St. Antoine's Residence and the Villa at St. Antoine's. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI. Visiting hours are on Monday, April 15th from 4 to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. To sign guest book visit
