WOONSOCKET- Vilma C. (Aiudi) Zagaglia, 85, of Rhodes Ave., formerly of Diamond Hill Rd., died Wednesday April 24, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, with her beloved family by her side. She was the wife of the late John Zagaglia.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Augusto and Anna (Maculan) Aiudi.
Vilma worked for the City of Woonsocket, as a Purchasing Agent for 21 years.
She was the former Past President of the Ladies Guild of St. Anthony's, and the Women's Auxiliary of the Marchigiano Club.
She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, whom she loved dearly, and especially playing Gin Rummy, with her sons and grandsons. She enjoyed cooking for everyone to enjoy; especially her homemade pasta's and deserts.
She is survived by her two sons, Dennis and his wife Claire Zagaglia, of Florida, and Mark and his wife Nancy, of Blackstone, MA. Daughter-in-law Judy Zagaglia, of Woonsocket. One brother Aldo Aiudi of Burrillville, R.I. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was the mother of the late Kenneth Zagaglia.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony's Church, Greene St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Friday 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the Friendly Home Inc. 10 Rhodes Ave. Woonsocket, R.I. 02895 would be appreciated.
