FRANKLIN- Judith L. "Judy" (Sylvia) Palmer 55, of Franklin, died peacefully Sunday April 28, 2013 at the Tippett Home in Needham, following a courageous battle against cancer. She was the beloved wife of Edward M. Ed Palmer.
Born April 10, 1958 in Needham, a daughter of the late Joseph and Norma (Hay) Sylvia, she was a longtime resident of Franklin.
Judy was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1976. Until her illness forced her to stop working, she was a project manager for the Oracle Corporation. She also worked for many high tech startup companies.
She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, travel to Walt Disney World to create lifelong memories, watch tennis, watch the New England Patriots, and camping. She was a former member of the Ficcos bowling leagues.
In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by her children; Meg Sylvia of Franklin, and Andrew Palmer of Millville, a brother Dana Sylvia of Maine and 2 sisters Jill Damplo of Tennessee & Janet Sylvia of Georgia. She was the beloved Nana to Erika, Halle and David Gavel, Jr. and Casey Swenson, & 2 nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Friday May 3rd, in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, from 4-7PM.
Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be sent to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center 55 Fruit St. Boston, MA 02114.
