FRANKLIN- Anita I. (DuMont) DeMarzi 95, a longtime Franklin resident, died peacefully, Friday May 3, 2013 at the Harrington House in Walpole. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno R. DeMarzi, who died in 1988.
Born in Woonsocket, November 29, 1917, a daughter of the late Victor and Laura (Garneau) DuMont, she lived in Franklin for more than 73 years. She was raised and educated in Woonsocket, and was a retired homemaker.
She was a former member of the Franklin Alden Club, St. Marys Catholic Womens Club, and the Go Wan Go Council Degree of Pocahontas in Franklin. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed bingo, gardening and family gatherings.
She is survived by a son, Richard P. DeMarzi and his wife Janice of Wrentham, 2 daughters; Joyce C. DeMarzi and Nancy A. DeMarzi both of Great Barrington, 2 sisters; Florence Palkovitch of Woonsocket, and Joan Regine of Providence, and a grandson Jason P. DeMarzi of Wrentham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Tuesday May 7th, from 10AM to 12Noon at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin.
A graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beaver St. Franklin at 12:30PM.
