PAWTUCKET – Some PawSox notes to pass along on this Sunday:

-- Jackie Bradley Jr. is not in the lineup for the second straight day. According to manager Gary DiSarcina, the outfielder has a touch of bicep tendinitis. Bradley hasn’t played in the field since the first game of Pawtucket’s eight-game home stand, which concludes Sunday against Durham. He also sat out last Sunday and Monday before returning to the lineup as the club’s DH for the Tuesday and Thursday games (Wednesday was an off-day).
DiSarcina hinted that Bradley could end up on the disabled list.
“The thing is that he swings lefthanded and it’s his right arm,” said DiSarcina. “You really can’t give him a break DH’ing and allow him to calm it down. It’s one of those things that we have to make a decision to sit him down for seven days and just calm it down and strengthen it. That’s what we’ll find out soon.”

-- Jose Iglesias is not in Sunday’s lineup, though for an entirely different reason. “Manager’s decision,” said DiSarcina, which is the same answer he gave after the shortstop came out of Saturday’s game. Iglesias did take batting practice.
“Iggy’s fine,” said DiSarcina, who added Iglesias is available to come off the bench. “He’s healthy and can play.”

-- Pitcher Rubby De La Rosa is expected to throw in the neighborhood of 70-75 pitches when he takes the mound Monday night. His previous five starts have seen him limited to around 50 pitches.

-- Monday in Gwinnett will see outfielder Mitch Maier (quad, wrist) run the bases. He’s been on the disabled list since April 25. DiSarcina also added that infielder Drew Sutton (muscle strain in his side) is also taking positive strides.
“He had a real good day (Saturday); I think the pain is going away,” said DiSarcina about Sutton. “I think the best thing is that we were able to catch it quick.”

-- For the second straight game, the PawSox have both catchers – Ryan Lavarnway and Dan Butler in the starting lineup. Lavarnway is behind the plate while Butler is in the DH spot. The roles were reversed on Saturday.
