BLACKSTONE- Stella J. Davis, 89, of Blackstone and formerly of Uxbridge, died Sun. May 5, 2013 in Blackstone Nursing Home, Blackstone.
Ms. Davis was employed as an order entry clerk for 13 years at the Hilsinger Company in Plainville, RI, retiring in 1989. She had previously been employed as an administrator for 22 years at the Riverbend Farm in Uxbridge.
Ms. Davis was born Aug. 8, 1923 in Uxbridge, a daughter of the late Fred E. and Myrtie (Parks) Davis. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1940.
She was a member of the Rosalie Rebekah Lodge in Medway since 1943. She was also a member of the former Iola Rebekah Lodge of Uxbridge and the Lady Franklin Lodge of Franklin. Ms. Davis was the Past President of the former Unity and Past Noble Grands of Worcester.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Earl F. Davis and two sisters, Dorothy Seagrave and Mary Ciepielowski.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 4-6 PM in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St. (Rte. 122), Uxbridge.
Burial will be at a later date in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Mendon St., Uxbridge.
