WOONSOCKET- Elbert R. Hudson, Jr (Al,Turk) 59, of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Cindy-Jo (Bernard) Hudson, whom he married January 26, 1974.
Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Elbert R. Hudson, Sr. and Flora (Giddleson) Hudson.
Mr. Hudson was a Glazer Foreman/Estimator for Atlas Glass & Mirror, Framingham, MA. He was also formerly employed by Mass Glass in Mansfield, Ma. He was a black belt in martial arts. He also taught martial arts and was a weapons instructor. Mr. Hudson was a member of the YMCA. He enjoyed skiing and was an avid swimmer, once swimming to Block Island.
Besides his wife, Cindy-Jo, he leaves his son, Shawn W. Hudson of Woonsocket; two daughters, Cindy-Jo Youssef of Putnam, CT and Virginia Lo of Woonsocket; his sister, Gayle Landry of Woonsocket; and six grandchildren, Randy and Tyler Bergeron, Baye Lo, Jr., Laura-Mai Lo, Xavier Diaz and Nevaeh Youssef. He was predeceased by a grandson, Angel Lo.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM.
