WOONSOCKET- Lucien Ouellette, 73, of Marie Anne Ct. and also of Narragansett and Lakeland, FL died May 6, 2013 in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, FL. He was the husband of Lucille (Leclerc) Ouellette whom he married September 13, 1958.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Leo and Sylvia (Carpentier) Ouellette.
Mr. Ouellette retired as a Lieutenant from the Woonsocket Police Dept., where he also served as Police Chaplain, in 1989. He was ordained as Deacon in 1979 and served for St. Agatha's and St. Stanislaus, Woonsocket and Maria Gorretti Church, No. Providence.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Diane Lebrun and her husband Mark and Michelle Heroux and her husband John, Sr., all of Woonsocket, a sister; Constance Harnois of Woonsocket and four grandchildren; Jennifer and Matthew DeThomas, John Heroux, Jr. and Katherine Heroux. He was the father of the late Jacqueline Ouellette.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 beginning at 9AM in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made be to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Breast Cancer Research, 10 Brookline Place, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445.
