GLOCESTER- Cole, Dorothy A. (Steere), 85, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Cole.
She was a lifelong Glocester resident and a daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Gilbert) Steere.
Mrs. Cole was a former member of the Chepachet Grange and the Ponaganset High School Building Committee.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son Ralph A. Cole and one daughter Marjorie A. Pepper both of Chepachet. She was the grandmother of Diane and Michael Cole, Jean Carlson, Allison and Margaret Pepper; great-grandmother of 8. She was the sister of Eleanor Wallace, Virginia Waterman, Constance Ballou, Lucille Ballou, Harold and Roger Steere and the late Frances Saltonstall, Gilbert, Chester, Roland and Edward Steere.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-10am, with a funeral service to begin at 10am in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
