WOONSOCKET- Sounthone Souriyavong, 56, of Knollwood Drive, died Wednesday May 15, 2013, in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the husband of Joann (Mello) Souriyavong.
Born in Vietain Laos, son of the late Lanoi and Khamseng Souriyavong.
Sounthone worked for Lista International, as a painter and assembler, for 22 years.
He was avid fisherman and enjoyed playing soccer.
Besides his wife Joann he is survived by his three sons, Tarvone, Lhammone, and Thongsavone Souriyavong. One brother, Khamsouk, four sisters, Lamchouy, Sommay, Manivanh, Malayphone. And three grandchildren.
A traditional Laotian service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 5:30 P.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Saturday, from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be sent to his family, Joann Souriyavong, 172 Knollwood Drive, Woonsocket, R.I. 02895, would be appreciated.
