WOONSOCKET- Arthur J. Caron, 91, of Elm St., died Saturday June 1, 2013 in the Woonsocket Health Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Solange "Sally" (Bolduc) Caron.
Born in Cumberland, son of the late Louis and Clarinda (Lariviere) Caron.
Mr. Caron work as 2nd class Millwright for Dennison Manufacturing Co. until retiring at the age of 62. He also worked as a bartender for Bolduc's and Larry's Caf.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in WW11.
Arthur was a family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A sports enthusiasts, enjoying the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. He also was an avid fisherman.
He was a former member of the AMVETS, Par X Club, Elks BPOE, American Legion Post 85, and the VFW Post. He played Quoit, for Par X Club and Leroy's Caf.
Besides his beloved wife Sally he is survived by two daughters, Lorraine and her husband Scott Wood, of Putnam, Conn. Denise and her husband Gary Frechette, of Woonsocket. One sister, Alice Champoux, of Woonsocket. Five grandchildren, Kimberly, Melanie, Jeremy, Jessica, and Kevin. And eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kyle, Courtney, Gabrielle, Jocelyn, Avery, Emily, Elijah.
He was also the brother of the late Leon Caron, and Jeannette Labonte.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Ma. Relative and friends are invited; calling hours are Tuesday evening from 5-8 P.M.
