BELLINGHAM, MA- Lucille M. (Dubois) Arpin, 85, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 after a long illness at Milford Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 63 years of Robert J. Arpin, Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marianna (Lacouture) Dubois.
She was the loving mother of Denise M. Ray and her husband, Dennis of North Smithfield, RI, Robert J. Arpin, Jr. and his wife Ann of Franklin, MA, David L. Arpin and his wife, Susan of South Carolina, the late Marc T. Arpin, Daniel E. Arpin and his wife, Donna of Woonsocket, RI, Lisa L. Jasmin and her husband, Patrick of North Smithfield, RI, Andrea C. Roberts and her husband, Mark of Mendon, MA, and Emily B. Hurteau and her husband, Marc of Douglas, MA, and leaves her cherished 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Lillian Fortier and her husband, Norman of Vienna, VA and the late Jeannette Bibeault.
Lucille was a lifelong resident of Bellingham and a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1944, and Hill College as salutatorian class of 1946. After graduation she taught at Hill College and Bellingham High School. In 1977, while raising her children, she established Arpin Travel Service Inc. in Bellingham and traveled extensively with her husband. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, and her greatest joy her family. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Friday, June 7th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Lucille M. Aprin to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or 1-800-DIABETES.
