As expected, Friday’s high school baseball playoff schedule was pushed back a day due to heavy rain. Here’s what’s on tap for Saturday:
Division I, Region 2: Lincoln at North Kingstown, 4 p.m.
Division I, Region 3: St. Raphael at La Salle, 3 p.m.
Division II, Region 2: Ponaganset at Tolman, 7:30 p.m.

Friday’s scheduled International League game between the host Pawtucket Red Sox and the Charlotte Knights at McCoy Stadium has been cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made-up as tonight was the last scheduled meeting between the teams this season.
Tonight’s Bat Night promotion has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 30 when the PawSox play Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at 1:05 pm at McCoy.
Fans holding box seat tickets or general admission tickets (without a specific rainout date printed on them) can trade those in for Bat Day on June 30 or any remaining regular-season game at McCoy.
As a result of Friday’s rainout, pitching prospect Brandon Workman will now make his Triple-A debut on Sunday in Syracuse. The rest of the PawSox’ rotation for the Chiefs series includes Rubby De La Rosa on Saturday, Alfredo Aceves on Monday and Steven Wright on Tuesday.
