UXBRIDGE - Loretta Ruth (Bourgery) Lemelin 85 of Uxbridge, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 5th 2013, in Milford Regional Hospital surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph Gerard E Lemelin; her two sons Joseph A Lemelin and his friend Denise, Marc E Lemelin and his wife Glynis; a sister Pauline Lesperance in Florida; many nieces and nephews. Loretta is predeceased by three sisters, Celia, Helen & Yvonne and two brothers William & Raymond.
Loretta was born in Blackstone MA, the daughter of Jules and Bertha Bourgery. During her working years, Loretta held many managerial positions throughout her life; retiring in 1990 from her last position at Westborough State Hospital in Westboro as a Dietary department supervisor.
She enjoyed watching the Red Sox, playing scrabble and cards.
There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass in honor of Loretta will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 15th at Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood Street in Linwood MA. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the lower church hall following the mass. The family also invites casual acquaintances to share memories of happy times gone by.
In Loretta's memory, memorial remembrances can be made to Cancer Care Fund, of Milford Regional Health Care Foundation, 14 Prospect St, Milford, MA 01757.
