UXBRIDGE - Robert E. Lambert, 58, of River Road, died June 7, 2013 at UMass Memorial Health Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Cheryl A. (Montanari) Lambert. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Ralph and Noella (Prefontaine) Lambert.
Mr. Lambert owned and operated RL Superior Lawn Care for over 25 years before retiring in 2006 due to illness. Bob enjoyed golfing and fishing and really loved classic cars. He was a former member of I.W.C. in Woonsocket.
Besides his wife Cheryl he is survived by their two children; Eric Lambert of Lancaster, PA, and Brittany Lambert of Uxbridge. He also leaves two brothers Richard Lambert of Arkansas and Roger Lambert of Bridgewater, MA. He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Lambert.
During Bob's long illness, he was hospitalized many days in Milford Regional Medical Center and came to love and appreciate his caregivers in a very special way.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 5PM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are omitted. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
