BISMARCK, ND- Olga Bush died June 10, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society, Bismarck, North Dakota.
In accordance with her wishes, Olga was cremated and no services will be held.
Olga was born on October 18, 1913 in West Hoboken, New Jersey. Over the years she also lived in Bellingham, MA where she graduated from Bellingham High School; Indiana, PA; Milford, MA; Woonsocket, RI; and in her final years, Bismarck ND where her son resides. She was the daughter of Attilio and Paola (Sandona) Acquasaliente who immigrated to the United States from Caltrano, Italy. Olga was the first of her family born in America.
During World War II, Olga worked at Cushing Army Hospital in Framingham, MA, helping to care for wounded soldiers. While working there, she had the honor of meeting Helen Keller who came to visit the soldiers. It was there that she met her future husband Robert, who was then serving in the Army.
Olga was devoted to working and being productive. Among the many and varied jobs she held during her life, she worked for over thirty years as receptionist and secretary in the medical office of the late Eleuterio G. Alikpala, M.D. in Woonsocket, RI where she lived for more than fifty years. In later years she did volunteer work in the medical field as long as she was able.
Olga is survived by her son Scott, his wife Rebecca and two step-granddaughters, Ashlynn and MacKenna Grasl; by her granddaughter Jennifer Michele Tracy and grandson Robert Carl Bush, his wife Heather and Olga's great granddaughter Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, by her three sisters Lydia, Iole Bruna and Rosalina, and by her brother Bruno.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Olga's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
