John F. DiLibero

BLACKSTONE- John F. "Chip" DiLibero, 67, of Blackstone, MA passed away unexpectedly at home after being stricken on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. He was the beloved husband for 43 years of Christine M. (Joyal) DiLibero.
Born in Milford, MA on May 18, 1946, he was the son of the late John W. and Rita A. (Allaire) DiLibero.
He was the loving father of Angela Saillant and her husband, Robert of Blackstone, MA, John J. DiLibero and his wife, Elissa of Uxbridge, MA, and Joseph E. DiLibero and his wife, Rebecca of North Kingstown, RI. He leaves cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew DiLibero and Emma Ryan. He was the brother of Mary DiLibero of Foster, RI, Diane Wilkens of Narragansett, RI, Michael DiLibero of Uxbridge, MA, James DiLibero of Blackstone, MA, and William DiLibero of North Kingstown, RI.
He was a lifelong resident of Blackstone and a graduate of St. Mary's High School Milford, MA Class of 1963, and received his Associates Degree from Worcester Junior College and attended the Florida Institute of Technology. Chip worked at Bellingham Electric for many years and retired from Fedders Inc. as a regional service manager.
He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, a member of the Woonsocket Elks Lodge #850, the Polish American Citizens Club of Blackstone, and was a founding member of the Blackstone Tags'n Trout Fishing Tournament. He loved being outdoors, enjoying fishing, the ocean, boating, camping, traveling and was a passionate Boston sports fan.
Chip was devoted to his family and his greatest joy was his grandchildren. Grampy will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Gaskill St., Blackstone.
Visiting hours are on Friday, June 21st from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of John F. DiLibero may be made to St. Theresa Church Statue of Mary/Entrance Door Fund, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA 01504 would be appreciated.
