Roger Lebrun

WOONSOCKET- Roger Lebrun, 56, of Achille Street, Woonsocket, lost his 2 year battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center on Thursday June 20, 2013.
He was the husband of Jodi (Delasanta) Lebrun. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in March.
He leaves a daughter, Lindsay-Rae Lebrun and her spouse Lyz Schroeter, of San Francisco, a son Adam Lebrun and his spouse Catie, of North Smithfield, and his beloved granddaughter, Leah Lebrun. He also leaves his cherished 4 legged companion for the last 2 years "Stevie Mix."
Born in Woonsocket, Roger was the son of Lucien Lebrun, of Woonsocket, and the late Therese (Auger) Lebrun.
He leaves two sisters, Jacqueline Giard and her spouse Roger of Chepachet, and Denise Lebrun of Woonsocket.
A 1976 graduate of Woonsocket High School roger was a dedicated employee of CVS for over 35 years. He started his career as a conveyor mechanic in the warehouse, and then worked as a maintenance supervisor in the main office building for 14 years. He spent the last 18 years working as a field support technician servicing many CVS stores in the RI and MA areas. He traveled extensively throughout the country for CVS including volunteering to travel to Louisiana for several weeks following Hurricane Katrina.
One of Roger's greatest past times was shopping - always on the hunt for a "great deal." He also loved construction and renovation projects, having purchased a home in Narragansett which he was renovating. He was an avid Patriots and 49er's fan and loved working in his vegetable garden. When his children were young, he also spent many years coaching YMCA and CYO basketball teams.
Roger had a larger-than -life personality, an infectious smile and the gift of gab. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 27, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket.
Relatives and friends are invited; calling hrs. are from 4-8 P.M. A private committal service will be scheduled at a late date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roger's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA.02215 or Home & Hospice of R.I. 1085 North Main St. Providence, R.I. 02904
