NORTH SMITHFIELD- Patrick V. O'Hara, Jr., 65, of Summit Ave., died June 30, 2013 at home surrounded by love. He was the husband for forty-five years of Claire (Vallieres) O'Hara.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Patrick V. and Lera M. (Lawrence) O'Hara. Raised in Tennessee, Patrick had been a resident of North Smithfield since 1974.
He worked twenty-eight years as a social case worker for the Rhode Island Department of Social & Rehabilitation Services retiring in 2000. Patrick was a member the Army National Guard. He loved his wife, his home and playing with his grand kids. Patrick enjoyed fishing, photography, videography and his home movies.
Besides his wife Claire, he is survived by their children, Patrick V. O'Hara III and his wife Kristine of Westminster, MA, and Catherine Rasco and her husband Tyson of North Smithfield; five grandchildren, Cassandra, Chloe and Patrick V., IV O'Hara, and Tyson and Cullen Rasco and his brother-in-law, George Vallieres and his wife Dorothy of Woonsocket.
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Friday from 5 - 8 PM.
