NORTH SMITHFIELD - Perron, Therese (Poisson) 80, of Eddie Dowling Highway, died Thursday, July 11, at home. She was the beloved wife of Richard Perron.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Laura (Lachapelle) and Henri Poisson, Jr., she was raised in the Manville section of Lincoln, and lived there for many years, before moving to Central Falls, and then North Smithfield in 1973.
Mrs. Perron was employed for many years by Mine Safety Appliances before retiring. She loved knitting and needlecraft, and cooking. She was a communicant of Saint James Church, Manville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Perry, and her husband Dennis, of North Providence, and Linda Boylan of Cumberland; two sons, Roger Perron, and his wife Judith, of Smithfield, and Donald Perron, and his wife Gisele, of North Smithfield; two sisters, Florence St. Pierre, and Lucille Poisson, both of Manville; two brothers, Albert Poisson of Cumberland, and Raymond Poisson of North Smithfield; seven grandchildren, who were her life and greatest pleasure, Emily Perron, Elizabeth Perron, Joseph Perron, and his wife Renee, Lindsay Boutin, and her husband Colin, Matthew Perron, Jessica Perry, and Cameron Boylan; one great-granddaughter, Avery Perron; and one step-great-grandson, Connor Lidofsky. She was the sister of the late Arthur Poisson, and the grandmother of the late Justin Perry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m. in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Home & Hospice Care of R. I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.
