PASCOAG- Carmen R. (Tessier) Gagne, 72, of Pascoag, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Normand A. Gagne, whom she married June 18, 1960.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Tessier and Dolores (Frappier) Tessier Patrie.
Carmen operated her own daycare and was a waitress at several area restaurants, including The Embassy. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and trips to Twin River Casino.
Besides her husband Normand, Carmen leaves three sons, James R. Gagne and his wife Jackie of Woonsocket, Russell H. Gagne of Pascoag and Normand "Chip" Gagne and his wife Renee of Woonsocket; five grandchildren, Samantha, Drew, Makenzie, Matthew and Brett; four brothers, Joseph L.R. Tessier, Rene "Joe" Tessier, and Theodore Patrie, all of Woonsocket and Gerald Patrie of Tennessee; and three sisters, Muriel Gentile-Robert and Marie Desilets, both of Woonsocket and Therese Hughes of Florida. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas R. Gagne and two brothers, Lionel Tessier and Maurice Patrie.
Her funeral is Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Family Church, 414 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM.
