Edgar T. Lajoie

CUMBERLAND- Edgar T. Lajoie, 92, of Mary wood Lane, Cumberland, R.I. formerly of Blackstone, Ma., died, Sunday July 14, 2013, in the Holiday Retirement Home, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Stasia (Kinash) Lajoie.
Born in Woonsocket, Son of the late Joseph and Helena (Trudeau) Lajoie.
Mr. Lajoie was Owner and Operator of Tile Craft in Bellingham, MA. Before retiring in l983.
He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in WW11.
He enjoyed fishing, rock climbing and exploring the woods in Maine.
He was a former member of the Blackstone Pistol Club, and earn the title of the R.I. State Champion in 1956, in Pistol shooting, and also a member of VFW Post of Woonsocket.
He is survived by one daughter; Robin and her husband Michael Degrange of Cumberland, R.I. Four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, and one great-great granddaughter. He also was the father of the late Denise Lajoie and brother of the late Raymond Lajoie.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday July 20, 2013, at 10 A.M. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington. Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Blackstone, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are omitted. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI is in charge of the arrangements.
