BlACKSTONE, MA - Jeannine F. (Comtois) Bishop, 85, of Farm Street, died Sunday July 21, 2013 in the Friendly Home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Everett Bishop.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Albert and Donalda (St. Germain) Comtois.
Jeannine worked as a Sales Clerk for Lee's Pharmacy for 30 years prior to retiring.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing in Maine, relaxing on the rocks, watching the waves come in. She also was an avid painter, displaying her artwork at various church bazaars in the area. She also loved to play the piano and harmonica, and sing her favorite songs.
Besides her husband Everett, she is survived by her daughter Ruth St. Jean of Rumford, R.I.and her three step-sons, Russell Bishop of Wrentham, MA, Robert and his wife Dawn Bishop, of Lincoln, R.I. and Randell Bishop, of Warpole, MA. Two sisters, Marguerite Paul of Woonsocket, Madeleine Schotter of Blackstone, MA. Two brothers, Marcel Comtois of Woonsocket, R.I. and Maurice Comtois, of Connecticut. One grandson, Scott Bishop, of Lincoln, R.I.
She was also the mother of the late Robert St. Jean, and sister to the late Claudette Marcet.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 9 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Charles Church, North Main St. Woonsocket, Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to The Friendly Home Inc. Activity Fund, 303 Rhodes Ave. Woonsocket, R.I. 02895 or to the Alzheimer's Association , Rhode Island Chapter , 245 Waterman St. Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906-5215, in her memory would be appreciated.
