PASCOAG - Roger P. Gouin 79, formerly of Village Way, North Smithfield, R.I. died Wednesday July 18, 2013 in Bayberry Commons with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Marie ( DiSano) Gouin.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Edward and Yvonne (Hamlin) Gouin.
Mr. Gouin was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was Owner and Operator of Rolans Plumbing and Heating, for several years prior to retiring.
Roger enjoyed spending time at the ocean, and vacationing in New Hampshire.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen Gouin of Woonsocket, and David and his wife Tara Gouin of Harrisville. One daughter Leslie and her husband David Nelligan of North Smithfield, R.I. One brother Hubert Gouin of North Smithfield, R.I. And six grandchildren. And also his longtime companion Claire Erickson.
His funeral service and burial will be private. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home , 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. In lieu of flower donation to Alzheimer's Association, Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St. Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906-5215 in his memory would be appreciated.
