Edmond H. Cabana, Sr.

WOONSOCKET - Edmond H. Cabana, Sr., formerly of Lincoln, passed away on July 21, 2013 at the Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield, RI surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of the late Lucy L. (Virgilio) Cabana.
He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Edmond R. & Lucienne (Beaulieu) Cabana.
He was a foreman, for both Jay Printing Company in Warwick, RI, and C J Fox in Providence for over thirty five years. He was a WWII US Army veteran, receiving a Purple Heart for injuries suffered in the war and was a member of the Purple Heart Club. Edmond was an avid golfer, and a longtime member of the Country View Golf Club in Harrisville. He also enjoyed bowling, oil painting, and doing home improvements.
He is survived by three sons, Edmond H. Cabana, Jr., of Blackstone, MA, Jeffrey W. Cabana of Greenville, and Richard Cabana of Sanford, Fl., two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a companion, Mady LeBeau.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Andre Cabana.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony's Church, Greene St., Woonsocket. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 8 to 9:30 am. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, MA.
