Joseph S. Beck

CUMBERLAND - Joseph S. Beck of Cumberland died on July 21, 2013.
Mr. Beck was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Maxwell A. Beck and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Beck. He was also the brother of the late Mary E. Beck. Mr. Beck was a United States Army Veteran of WWII.
Mr. Beck was a teacher and counselor at Cumberland High School for many years.
He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, a Friend of the Cumberland Library, a member of the R.I. Teachers Association, a member of the Rhode Island Irish-American Historical Society and a charter member of the National World War II Memorial.
The funeral for Mr. Beck will be on Thursday, July 25 at 9:00 am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aiden's Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland at 10:00 am. His burial will be with full Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. The calling hours for Mr. Beck will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
