Florence "Flo" Arsenault

WOONSOCKET - Florence "Flo" (Blondin) Arsenault, 84, of Mendon Rd., died July 21, 2013 in the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. She was the wife of Eugene A. Arsenault with whom she celebrated her 65th anniversary in November. Born in Ashton, RI, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Josephine (Le'Toile) Blondin.
She was a machine operator for the former Argonne Textiles and was later a nurses' aide and medication technician for St. Antoine Residence, retiring in 1990. She was a Bingo enthusiast and enjoyed Swedish Weaving and making afghans.
Besides her husband Eugene, she leaves six daughters, Annette Laplume and her companion Bob Blaes of Jacksonville, FL, Denise Houle of Woonsocket, Michelle Ayo and her husband Wayne of Pascoag, Camille Arsenault of Woonsocket, Rachelle Chartier and her husband Dennis of Harrisville and Renea Peloquin and her husband Marcel of Woonsocket; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and dear family friend Jeanne Brennan of Woonsocket. She was predeceased by four brothers, Rudolph, Raymond, Roger and George Blondin and three sisters, Henrietta Roberts, Lucie Heneault and Yvonne Marcotte.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., No. Smithfield, RI 02896.
