WOONSOCKET - Edith (Nicolini) Andreoni, 85, of Atlanta St. died Thursday July 25, 2013, in Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Eugene Andreoni.
Born in Pawtucket, daughter of the late Attilio and Bertha (Cataloni) Nicolini.
Edith worked as a seamstress for Woonsocket Coat and Suit for 13 years and the former Woonsocket Dress for 15 years, which changed to Fashion Sportswear. And also for New England Instrument as an Inspector for 8 years prior to retiring.
She was a volunteer for the Woonsocket Senior Center. A former member of the St. Joseph Senior Citizens and also the Marchigino Club Ladies Auxiliary, The Italian Workingmen's Ladies Auxiliary, St. Anthony's Ladies Guild and AARP.
She is survived by her three sons, James E. and his wife Kathy Andreoni, of Lincolnville, Maine, Richard F. and his wife Cathy Andreoni, of Tiverton, R.I., and David N. and his wife Debra Andreoni, of Woonsocket. One sister, Eleanor Tonucci of Pawtucket, R.I. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Emmo Nicolini.
Her funeral will be held on Monday July 29, 2013, at 9 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Anthony's Church, Greene St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Sunday from 4-7 P.M.
