WOONSOCKET - Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Murray, 65, of Woonsocket passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Miriam Hospital with his family by his side.
He was the loving father of Jeffrey J. Murray of Woonsocket and leaves his cherished granddaughter, Rebecca A. Thompson of Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket on April 29, 1948, he was the son of the late James Warner and Michalina (Puchta) Murray. He was the brother of John P. Murray of Bellingham and the late James Warner Murray, Jr. He leaves his niece, Shayna L. Murray of Bellingham, an uncle and cousins. He was the former husband of Carol Rowe of Carver, MA.
A resident of Woonsocket formerly of Bellingham, Jeff was a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1966. Jeff was the founder of Murray Motors and owned the Red Lantern Night Club both of Woonsocket and he was a successful real estate investor. He was an avid and devoted New England Patriots fan. Jeff will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone.
Visiting hours are on Monday, July 29th from 6 to 9PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. To sign guest book visit
