WOONSOCKET - Diana Lynn (Powers) Martin, 57, of Woonsocket passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Oakland Grove Health Center with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 38 years of Francis P. "Frank" Martin. Born in Boston, MA on July 6, 1956, she was the daughter of Catherine (MacDonald) Powers of Bellingham, MA and the late Ronald O. Powers.
She was the loving mother of Daniel F. Martin and his wife, Kathleen of Victoria, MN and Catherine A. Martin and her fianc, Darrin Boucher of Woonsocket, RI, and her cherished grandchildren, Teigan, Danica, Marley, Azlynn, Olivia and Corey. She was the sister of Ronald O. Powers and his wife, Lisa of Millville, MA, John P. Powers of Bellingham, MA, Robert W. Powers of Colorado, Debra A. Powers of Webster, MA, and Jean Salamone of Colorado.
A resident of Woonsocket for 35 years formerly of Bellingham, she was a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1974. Diana was a senior teller at Milford Federal Savings and Loan in Woonsocket and previously worked at Fleet Bank, Marquette Credit Union and Social Department Store.
Diana enjoyed walking the beach with her husband and beloved dogs. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 31, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
