WOONSOCKET - Janet C. (Bisson) Lavoie, 81 formerly of Pond St. Parkview Apts. Died Saturday July 27, 2013 in the Friendly Home.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Hildore and Cecile (Beaudoin) Bisson.
Janet worked as a bookkeeper for the former First National food Stores, now Super Value food Stores for 25 years. She also worked for AARP and the Senior Center.
She was very active in activities at Parkview Manor Social Club; she loved old movies, playing cards and traveling. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janet enjoyed working the voting polls during election times.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Paquette, Richard Lavoie, Dianne Himsey, and Denise Lavoie. Five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Roland E. Bisson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday August 2, 2013 at 10 A.M. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours have been omitted. The S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, is in charge of the arrangements.
