WOONSOCKET- Joyce A. (Ducharme) Smith, 72, of Fall St, died Saturday August 2, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Arnold Smith.
Born in Providence, R.I. daughter of the late Roderick and Beatrice (Ducharme) Ducharme.
Joyce worked as an Insurance Agent for R.P. Smith & Son for 30 years, prior to retiring.
Joyce enjoyed working on Sudoku and Jigsaw Puzzles ,and playing Solitaire. She also enjoyed knitting blankets, for her family.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by four children, Donna and her husband Aloysius Langeveld, of Woonsocket, William and his wife Patricia Smith, of North Smithfield, Karen and her husband James Lanctot, of Woonsocket and Sandra and her husband David Sloane of Woonsocket. Two sisters, Linda Ducharme , of So. Carolina and Kathleen Tetu of North Carolina. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral home service will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are Saturday from 9-11 A.M. Burial will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, R.I.
