SLATERSVILLE- Harold R. Belknap, 81, of Slatersville, died August 2, 2013 in his home. He was the husband of Christine M. (Van Dyke) Belknap for nearly sixty years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Harold M. and Evelyn (Hartshorn) Belknap.
Harold worked at the Woonsocket Call for 35 years retiring in 1986 as the Advertising Manager. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Harold was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Millville, MA
Besides his wife, Christine, he leaves their son, Christopher Belknap and his wife Courtney and granddaughter Grace Belknap of Seabrook, NH. He was predeceased by his son, James R. Belknap and his brother, James F. Belknap.
Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, Ma 02284
